Cooked Almond Bananas

Bananas with almonds: the flaked almonds, which are widely used in the kitchen and not only in desserts, are perhaps the happiest match for any other ingredient.
By now, I see a lot of people using bananas in the usual preparations such as banana bread, pancakes and muffins. I love banana pancakes, and muffins even more, but social media is so full of them now that I am almost bored with them.

So today I decided to bring you a slightly more original recipe to celebrate this delicious fruit with so many uses. I found this delicious recipe in a huge cookbook of the 70s, more full of dust than recipes, and at first I was a bit skeptical about the preparation because I had never tried it, nor heard of it, but the end result was nothing short of breathtaking and I was delighted. After all, it’s not every day that you bread a banana, or at least that’s what I thought.

So, my dear friends, are you ready to organise a five o’clock tea party and impress your guests with these unusual sweets?

Curiosity

Bananas are really a fruit with a thousand uses, and you can make countless recipes with them. One of my favourites is undoubtedly pancakes, whether light or not they are simply unique. Then we have a super natural ice cream, made from 2 frozen fruits: the banana, which is the base, and then strawberries or berries. You simply have to freeze the fruits already in pieces and at the time of use take them out 5 minutes earlier and then blend them together.

Believe me it is something sensational, even better if you add a bit of Greek yoghurt to taste: this was my favourite breakfast for a long time! Otherwise, still talking about ice cream, cut your banana in half, pierce it with a toothpick and freeze it in the freezer. Once frozen, melt some dark chocolate in a bain-marie and dip the banana in it. Garnish, or not, with chopped hazelnuts and serve. A super quick anddelicious ice cream!

With regard to its properties, the banana is rich in potassium and helps the cardiovascular system to function properly. It is also said that eating a banana pre-workout gives you the energy to copy an intense 90-minute workout, as it is an immediately available energy source. Great, isn’t it? And it doesn’t weigh you down either.
